How a Minneapolis quote gets built
A quote starts with four things: where you're going, how many people, when you want to leave, and which airport you prefer. From Minneapolis, you have choices. Minneapolis–Saint Paul International (KMSP) has the long runway, 11,006 feet. Flying Cloud (KFCM) and Anoka County-Blaine (KANE) are smaller and often quicker to get in and out of. Saint Paul Downtown (KSTP) sits close to downtown St. Paul.
We price the whole trip, not just flight time. That means taxi time, fuel, crew overnight if needed, landing fees, and any deicing in winter. You get one number. If a light jet is the right fit for a Chicago run, you'll see it priced that way. Nothing gets added later without your approval.
Who actually flies the aircraft
We are a broker. We don't own or operate aircraft. Every flight we arrange is operated by an independent company that holds an FAA Part 135 certificate. That operator has operational control: they supply the crew, dispatch the flight, and answer for how it's run. The quote names the operator so you know who is flying.
This split matters because the operator's safety record and business practices are what you're flying on. We choose among operators who meet our standards, but the pilot in command works for them, not us. If something changes on the day, the operator makes the call.
What we check before a flight goes out
Before we quote an operator, we verify their FAA Part 135 certificate is active and in good standing. We confirm insurance coverage meets the trip's requirements. We review third-party safety audit reports where they exist, because an audit is an outside look at how the operator runs. We also look at crew duty limits for the specific flight, since a long day with weather can push a crew past legal hours.
For Minneapolis departures, that means checking winter operations too. Deicing, runway condition, and alternate airports get reviewed. The operator signs off on the final go decision, but we don't send a quote from an operator we haven't checked.
How we get paid
We're paid a flat fee by the operator for arranging the trip. That fee is built into the quote you see. You don't get a separate bill from us. The price on the quote is the price you pay, subject to the estimate caveat below.
Prices are estimates until the operator confirms availability. Fuel and fees move, and a quote is not a contract until you approve it and the operator accepts. We'll tell you when a number is firm and when it's still an estimate.

Questions
How much does a private jet charter from Minneapolis cost?
It depends on the aircraft and distance. A light jet from Minneapolis to Chicago runs about $4,000 to $6,000. Minneapolis to New York is roughly $9,000 to $14,000. Longer trips cost more: Minneapolis to Los Angeles is around $16,500 to $25,000. These are estimates and move with fuel and availability. We quote the full trip, not just flight time.
Which Minneapolis airport will my charter use?
That depends on the aircraft and your destination. KMSP has an 11,006-foot runway and handles larger jets. Flying Cloud (KFCM) and Anoka County-Blaine (KANE) are smaller and often quicker for light jets and turboprops. Saint Paul Downtown (KSTP) is close to downtown St. Paul. We'll recommend one based on your trip and the operator's preference.
Is the operator on my quote the one flying the plane?
Yes. We're a broker, so the company named on the quote is the FAA Part 135 operator that will fly you. They hold operational control: their crew, their dispatch, their responsibility for the flight. We check their certificate, insurance, and safety audit reports before we quote them. If the operator changes, we tell you before you approve.
